This one came together quicker than I thought it would. I tried some new stuff out, including some more shapely shadows, a different filter, and a few other small things. How's the "My LotR Pony" text in the corner working for you guys? I like having it, but I can fade it out if it feels in the way.
I've got Elendil being played by an unnamed (according to the MLP wiki) pegasus pony. I pretty much just picked him out because I thought his mane looked great; very kingly. I've got Daring Do as Isildur (yeah, I'm using a character from a book in a show to play a character from a different book which was adapted into a movie
). I know he doesn't have a weapon, but a little known fact about Isildur is that he was a champion applebucker. No sword necessary. He'll be snagging the broken Narcil in a few scene's anyway
. Then of course Octavia as Elrond.
No Gil-galad here. I might be able to maybe get him into the fight against Sauron scene, if I can convey both him and Elendil being slain. Anyhow, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
I'm looking at a busy week ahead of me, but the next scene should be pretty awesome, and I'll be working on it whenever I get the chance.
One last thing: since these pictures are primarily vector-based, I see no reason not to upload very high resolution images. If there's a demand for lower resolution versions (say, for example, if you've nearly filled your hard drive with pony pictures and need to conserve space
, I can upload that as well and put a DL link in the description.
Update: At the request of
, I am making the source files available. The SVG file includes all my reference pictures, and all layers are named in the PSD file. I hope looking at these files will be of use in one way or another.
